Ad-hoc (Hasbro) P-O-X wireless "tourney/meetup"

About five years ago, I bought a set of Hasbro POX wireless games but I have never just "run into" anyone else who played.  I figure at least a couple of other Origins attendees must have bought these devices too, and Origins seems like a great place for some random POX encounters!

So, if anyone else is interested in playing, bring your POX Containment Units to Origins and turn them on while you wander around the con.  Please reply to this forum post so that everyone will know that others will be participating.  I will subscribe to this thread so that I am notified of replies (and you may wish to too).

Since it is probably not practical to have the POX unit turned on continuously (especially with the 15 min. auto time limit), I would suggest the following "protocol" for the ad-hoc tourney.  Turn on your PCU's wireless "battle clock" at these times:

1.  Whenever you are walking through the halls of the convention center in between other events.

2.  While wandering the vendor's Exhibit Hall.

3.  Whenever sitting in the main hallway, dining areas, or other public areas of the convention center with lots of people walking past.

Please post your interest, questions, or suggestions here.  If several people will participate, we may even want to have a very brief meetup in person at the end and/or beginning of the Con to meet each other and declare a "winner".

Thanks!

Anthony Kozar

POX (tm) is a handheld wireless electronic gaming device created and sold by Hasbro several years ago.  Players assemble their own "POX Infectors" by choosing from a variety of body parts with special abilities and program attack sequences for each Infector.  When the wireless transceiver of the POX unit is turned on, any other POX devices in range will automatically battle with each other.

POX (tm) is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc.
I am not affiliated with Hasbro in any way.

Anthony -

If you like, you're welcome to use the Nintendo DS area (outside E/F hall) as your in-person meetup spot.
