With Event Registration being so sudden, I am having a problem. I am attending the convention with a friend, and most of our events will be at the same time (playing games together). However, he is overseas for the rest of the week (Paris), and is unable to register for events at his location. I am wondering if I can purchase multiple event tickets for both him and myself. I was trying to remember if I could do this last year, but I seem to remember the system limiting you to not purchase event tickets that overlap. Will that still hold true this year? Can I purchase two or more of each event ticket? If so, will my friend be able to use them? Otherwise, by the time he gets back into the States, the events may be sold out! Any help on this would be appreciated. Tom Thowe

Well, all I can tell is what happened to me, I think two years ago; the system let me register multiple tickets for events, and then someone from Origins contacted me and told me that shouldn't have happened, and dumped all my extra tickets before I could have my friend, who I bought them for, ready to buy them in the system. I'd love to be able to buy tickets for my friend as well, as I can do for Gen Con.

Tom - You can buy one ticket per person per event, with nothing overlapping. But there's nothing preventing you from buying your friend a badge and buying his tickets for that badge, just as if he was your spouse or child. If he already has a badge, that's ok. Just have him drop our customer service folks an email when he can and let them know which badge of his to refund. Alternately, if he'll give you his log in info, you can log in as him and buy events as if you were him. Hope that helps! -Trey Trey ReillyPrograms Director, GAMA programs@gama.org (614) 255-4500 x103 www.gama.org |
