This year will be the first that my husband and I will be coming to origins. We are debating whether or not to bring our daughter, who is 8. Is there anything that she would enjoy?

My wife and I went with all thre of children last year (4/8/14). The 8 year old had a blast. There was a pretty good selection of games in the kids track plus a descent selections of activities in the family track and kids room. |

We had our inlaws bring our kids to the convention center on Sunday last year as a test drive of sorts to see how they liked it and they all had a blast. They were 6, 8 and 9 at the time. We are bringing our now 10 year old this year for the entire run. She has been looking forward to it since we told her she could come with us. Origins seems to me to be a very family friendly convention. We have attended yearly since 2001 and intermittantly prior to that..and have never witnessed anything that made us think "Hmm, maybe this isnt such a great place for kids". I look forward to sharing the convention with my daughter this year.
