Fair Pass vs Full Access?

I am bringing my two children(Ages 6 and 10) to play in the Pokemon Nationals on Saturday.  Can someone please tell me what type of pass they need?  I am getting conflicting information.  They will just be going to the tournament and maybe do some shopping.  Also, what kind of a pass do I need to get to supervise them(I assume there will be an area in the room that they are in that I can hang out).

Lastly, do they need to preregister to play in the tournament or do they just show up the morning of the event?

Thanks so much for your patience with my ignorance. This is a new experience for us.

Hi there!

Your children need Full Access badges, as they'll be playing in a tournament. Your 6-year old's badge has a cost of $0, as kids under 9 are free. You can use the Fair Pass to supervise them, and Pokemon kindly provides a Parent Area near the tournament for you to hang out in.

Pre-registration has closed, and there is still space in the tournament. That may or may not be true on the morning of the event, however. You may wish to drop by Origins on Wednesday or Thursday to buy their badges for Saturday and register them for Nationals, just to be on the safe side.
