davechri: Origins needs to get busy. ----- That's the point I was trying to make, but perhaps I was a bit too subtle. If, like me, one can only afford to go to one nearby convention and is trying to decide whether to attend Origins or Gen Con, the lack of preparedness and communication on the part of Origins about a convention now only six weeks away seems to make Gen Con the better choice. What is the incentive to purchase a badge at this point, with only two weeks before pre-registration cutoff? The only major game that I know will certainly be held at Origins is Pokemon; and if that's not your thing, you're currently out of luck. A little communication would be nice, and could go a long way toward easing concerns; right now, I just don't see it. |

I heard the people running events got a preliminary event schedule this past week. So another week or two would be my guess on a public event schedule.

GM's were sent the Advanced schedule on Friday to check and make sure all there game info was correct. Our revisions were due today so it my best guess that the spread sheet will be available to the general population by the end of the week.

For anyone who didn't get the offical email this morning:
"Event pre-registration for Origins 2008 opens on May 15 at noon Eastern Daylight Time (9:00 a.m. PDT)."
Event charts are available on the front page, but as of 7:15 am the links are not working correctly. |

Last year's events... It's a quirk we see a lot, especially with Vista and Mac users. It doesn't mess anyting up, though, and shouldn't effect your 2008 registration at all.
