Hi there!

The final event submission deadline is April 4. Till then, we don’t have everything from all of the GMs, so we can’t publish a list yet. Look for the full schedule to be posted on our website in late April/early May, once we’ve had time to finish sorting through/organizing all of the events.

In the meantime, you can take look at some of the things that happened at Origins in 2007:

See you this summer!

Is there anymore information on a date for the event list to be released? I am starting to get that pre-summer convention bug!

I'm getting that bug as well. I can't wait to see what's playing and get my schedule done.

Sorry, folks - I don't have a date for you yet.

The Origins team also runs the GAMA Trade Show, which was held last week in Las Vegas. We just got back from that show last night, so it's going to take a little while to wrap up the paperwok from GTS and re-orient on Origins.

Thanks for being patient! We'll send out a general announcement when we have a firm date.

On your calendar page, you have already stated that the last date for registration will be 5/25.  With today being the 5th, that's less than 20 days left for possible registration if we started today.  When do you think you will start the registration process?

Thanks

We are now into mid-May.Wouldn't it have been wise to establish an event reg day from the onset? I would have purchased a 4-DAY badge but since I have no clue what day the event I'm interested in will be scheduled for I had  to take a shot in the dark and just purchase a Saturday badge. If my guess was wrong I will probably just eat the ticket to save the gas money. This lack of organization and planning will ultimately cost Origins. : (

Gen Con Indy already seems to have a great deal of their events posted, while more are added daily...

and their convention doesn't start until August.

Daniel, on April 4, I asked this...

I just saw that Gencon already has a draft schedule of events out (about 2200 events, so it's far from complete).

Has Origins ever considered putting out an early event draft, just to let people get an idea of what's coming up and make some tentative plans?

----

This was the reply I got (in another area on the forum)...

We do that, in the form of the pre-reg book.

We try to balance getting the information in from our GMs and companies, and getting it out to our fans. It's a balancing act, as the fans want the information as soon as possible, and the companies and GMs are still getting their plans together as late as April and May.

We keep it as balanced as we can, and try to make the majority of folks happy.

------

 Origins needs to get busy.
