Heroes
A celebration of the individual hero – changing the course of history and story by their own actions. From all up and down the timeline (and some alternate timelines too), we’ll take a look at what it means to be a hero and why only some beings make the grade. This is also the StrategiCorps 2008 Theme for heroes in historical and war game settings. We’ll examine the hero’s journey with games, tournaments, special events, Guests, screenings, and seminars.
Southern Campaign 1781
By 1781 the Patriots had an almost perfect record of losing; and things weren't very propitious for this fledgling confederacy of states. The Southern Campaign provided a bright spot due to the frontier savvy of one man: Dan'l Morgan, "the Old Waggoner". He had a fresh idea and he knew the men. He had lots of rifles and good shots but few bayonets. His concept turned around the way the Patriots fought and gave new hope. This series will feature the battles of The Cowpens, Guildford Courthouse and Eutaw Springs. They are well-matched affairs (if you know his secret plan) and provide a really interesting window onto the American Revolution. Each day (Thurs/Fri/Sat) we will refight one of these battles and determine if there is still extant the spirit of Dan'l Morgan! A Duke Seifried miniatures event.

Warhammer 40K - Heroes Challenge
Bring your hero and his henchmen...500 points total and challenge the other legendary heroes of the 40K universe. 4 players to a table, top two will advance in the first round. Each player must use a HQ choice as the core of their hero team. Limit is 11 figures in the team. 4th Edition rules and codex‘s, all army lists that are currently valid may be used. A miniatures throw down.

Destroy the Doolin-Dalton Gang
The time is 1893. The place is Ingalls, Oklahoma, a railroad town and farming settlement near the Indian Nations. Bill Doolin, and William Dalton of the Doolin-Dalton gang are holed up in town, recovering well over a year’s time from a robbery attempt gone awry in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1891. The new gang consisted of William "Bill" Doolin, Arkansas Tom Jones, Dynamite Dick Clifton, Charley Pierce, Red Buck Waightman, Tulsa Jack Blake, George "Bittercreek" Newcomb, and William Dalton. The law was sure to catch up with this band of wrongdoers, and it did so in the form of U.S. Marshall Evitt Nix, with a group of some other 12 lawmen. Can the Marshall and his men take out this gang once and for all, or will the gang be able to fight it's way out of town?.......... A Western action miniatures event.

Nextwave: Agents of Hate
The Nextwave series features a collection of minor Marvel superheroes, including Monica Rambeau, the former Captain Marvel; Tabitha Smith, formerly of X-Force; Aaron Stack, the Machine Man; monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone; and new character The Captain, previously called Captain @#$% (The obscured words being so horrible that Captain America allegedly "beat four shades of it out of [him]" and left him in a dumpster with a bar of soap in his mouth.). These individuals are assembled by H.A.T.E., the Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort, to fight Unusual Weapons of Mass Destruction (U.W.M.D.s). The Nextwave team learns that H.A.T.E. is funded by the Beyond Corporation©, an organization run by H.A.T.E.'s terrorist enemy S.I.L.E.N.T.; as a result, the heroes leave H.A.T.E., stealing a vehicle called the Shockwave Rider. They destroy the U.W.M.D.s that the Beyond Corporation and H.A.T.E. have hidden around the United States, while pursued by H.A.T.E. Director Dirk Anger, a parody of Nick Fury.
