Spouse and Family Track
Many of our attendees bring their families, but not everyone in the family is an avid gamer. At most conventions, these folks are at a loss for what to do. But that doesn’t happen at Origins! We understand the usual fate of the “gaming widow and widower” and welcome them to the sixth annual Spouse & Family Program!
We are also happy to offer the Spouse & Family Program Room- a space specifically for our non-gaming attendees to relax and enjoy events designed for them. The room will also have a private nursing area for mothers, so please feel free to utilize this facility.
Started in 2006, we’re proud to bring back the Spouse Craft Room. Bring your latest project and get acquainted with other crafters! Coaching and discussion for Knitting/Crochet, Patterns, Embroidery (cross stitch, blackwork, and freestyle), Needlepoint, Scrapbooking, Quilting and others. See the Craft Room onsite for a more complete listing of topics.
Columbus is a great city to visit so make sure you check out experiencecolumbus.com for more family ideas. Some of the Origins organized off-site events carry additional charges; our onsite events are free with your Origins badge, unless there are materials fees.
Here are some examples of what we’ll do over the course of the show. Please see the Special Events grids for the full Spouse & Family Program schedule.
