A smash hit that started in 2006, the Origins Board Room is for both the Master and the Apprentice board gamer. Separate from the rest of the Tabletops events, the Board Room offers mostly structured open gaming with other board game enthusiasts. 

Enjoy the room's extensive game selection, or bring a few of your own favorite games. Sample every game you love and keep coming back for more! The room also includes showcase area for all the newest board game releases! Relax away from the crowds and tempo of activity by gaming with old and new friends alike in a great setting.

Avid Board Gamers will want to make the Board Room a “Must Have” Ribbon for Origins 2008!

For many years, the War Room, sponsored and run by the Columbus Area Boardgaming Society (CABS), has provided an excellent venue for gamers to gather and find those who would join them in their favorite war games. The Board Room, also run by CABS, provides the same opportunity for those with a focus more towards tabletop board games. There are few scheduled events in the Board Room - just find or bring a game of your choice, grab some other Board Room players, and play! The cost to play in the room is one generic ($2) for every two hours.

Those who love the idea of spending hours and hours with other board game enthusiasts, playing any number and types of games, should seriously consider picking up a Board Room Ribbon ($16). You can still play in the Board Room without a ribbon, by paying for your events with generic tickets, but a Board Room ribbon allows you to play as many times as you like, for a single low price. Buy a ribbon, save some money, and support the room!
