Eligibility
The Teacher’s Hall Pass program is open to teachers at all grade levels, resource center specialists, school librarians, principals, college professors, homeschoolers, and public librarians.
In 2006 we expanded the Teacher's Hall Pass to include librarians and homeschoolers, and feel the program has benefitted from the interesting and diverse perspectives these groups have brought to the program.
Registration
Sign up for the Teacher’s Hall Pass program today! It’s easy -- just fill out and return the
registration form. Feel free to copy the form for your co-workers, too! You’ll receive a confirmation email after we process your form. Make sure you print the email for your records. Your badge and program information will be waiting for you at the Special Services registration desk. You'll receive a FREE four-day general admission badge and a THP ribbon. The badge grants access to all non-ticketed events, while the ribbon lets our exhibitors know to give the possessor an educational discount.
Bring your ID!
To pick up your
badge the show, you need both a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license,
passport, or similar document) and your school or library employee ID. We can
also accept a letter from your supervisor (on your organization’s official
stationery) that certifies your position.
For
homeschoolers, examples we'll accept include: copy of your state or
town registration letter, HSLDA receipt (Homeschool Legal Defense
Association), or your local or state homeschool newsletter with an
address label that shows your home address.
If you have any questions about what
credentials to bring, please email accounting(at)gama.org.
Teacher's Lounge
We have added an additional room adjacent to our seminar rooms where
teachers can relax and discuss what they've discovered with their
peers. Some of our exhibiting manufacturers will also schedule game
demos exclusively for teachers in the lounge, with an emphasis on
lesson plans and learning goals.
Educator Discount
Many of our exhibitors offer educational discounts to Teacher's Hall Pass
ribbon-holders. A list of participating vendors will be available at the Teacher's Lounge.
