Unpub Room
LOCATION: B130
Unpublished Games Network (“Unpub”) will be returning to the Origins Game Fair with events running throughout the convention. Any attendee of Origins can playtest tomorrow’s hit games today, and help designers make their prototypes the best they can be. No pre-registration or fee required, just swing by and play a game!
In addition to the playtesting space, Unpub offers a variety of events including Unpub Speed Pitching and The Unpub Pro-Am Game Jam.
For the latest information on this year’s Unpub space, including how to reserve tables as a designer, what events are offered, the playtesting schedule, and more, please visit the Origins page on the Unpub website.

RESERVED PLAYTESTING BLOCKS
You must have an Origins Game Fair badge to participate in Unpub programming.
To book a Reserved Playtesting Block - visit the Unpub website!
Each 3-hour reserved playtesting block costs $20.
Designers are limited to purchasing a maximum of two reserved blocks. Multiple tables may not be purchased in the same time block, and the same game cannot be listed for more than two blocks.
The tables are rectangular with 6 chairs each. Plan accordingly when choosing which games you might playtest. Chairs may not be moved from other tables for any reason.
Specific information regarding the on-site process will be sent to registered designers by Friday 6/11.
NOTE: Table signs are allowed, floor banners are not.
Community groups and anyone with whom the fees would impose an undue hardship are encouraged to apply to the Unpub Scholarship Fund.

PRO-AM GAME JAM- Friday, June 19th, 8:30pm ET
Stretch your creative muscles in this game design exercise. Unpub makes a random set of restrictions for a game design: for example, what theme your game has to involve, what kind of genre your game must be, or a twist in what the game can't involve.
Game industry pros will lead their teams of Origins attendees to make a game and playtest it. Then at the end of the game jam period, each team will present what they came up with, and compare just all the different directions the same restrictions can go.
Join a team lead by an industry professional to make a game in roughly an hour from a set of random constraints. No preregistration necessary and all skill levels are welcome.
We look forward to seeing you all in Columbus soon!
Founded in 2010, The Unpublished Games Network, called Unpub, is a hub for information regarding game design and playtesting. We support the game design and development community by organizing events (both in person and online) designed to help unpublished games and their designers receive public play-tests for feedback and introductions to publishers looking for games to sign.
