Convention Support Team F.A.Q
-
No. Please do not purchase a badge. Once your shifts are scheduled, you will be provided with a code to obtain your badge.
-
Yes. During your shift, you must wear the Convention Support Team shirt provided to you. Bottoms are your choice as long as they are clean and not ripped. Closed-toed shoes are required on Tuesday and Wednesday because the convention center is considered a construction zone on those days.
-
We will do our best to provide a lunch break if you are working consecutive shifts in a particular area, but lunch breaks are not guaranteed. If you need to eat at a specific time, please let the Convention Support Team Coordinator know so they can avoid scheduling consecutive shifts for you.
Smoke and vape breaks are not provided. Please smoke or vape only before or after your shift, and do not arrive smelling of smoke or vape—these odors can trigger asthma and migraine attacks. Please also note that the convention center is a smoke- and vape-free location.
-
If you need to step away to use the restroom, simply let your lead know. Please note: stepping away is for restroom use only—it is not a time to get food, smoke/vape, talk with friends, play demos, or visit the vendor hall.
-
Convention Support Team members are paid an hourly rate, which will be shared with you once your application is approved. Some vendors also provide games and other gaming accessories as a token of appreciation; these are available on Sunday evening after the show closes for team members who work a minimum of 16 hours.
-
No. Travel to and from the show, parking, and hotel accommodations are not covered or reimbursed by the convention.
-
Because all team members must pass a basic background check, you must be at least 18 years old to participate.
